Our Story

     In 2014, after God restored his family, Pastor Joey was encouraged by two faithful believers to once again begin fulfilling the anointing that God gave him as a young man. One of those faithful believers offered their home as a starting point, and Pastor Joey began leading a Bible study. The Bible study grew quickly and was in need of a new place to meet, and another local pastor generously offered his church building on Saturday evenings.
     By 2015, the Bible study had grown into a church plant called Real Life Church, and the church needed its own building to meet in. Soon, an offer was made on a building by faith, and God showed up big by providing a building worth three times more than the church had known or offered.
     In the years since, Real Life Church has continued to grow under Pastor Joey's leadership and now has a staff consisting of seven other amazing leaders and the best Dream Team volunteers around! 

Invest. Invite. Involve. At Real Life Church, we believe that investing, inviting, and involving  families to realize their real life in Christ is crucial to bringing people to Christ. Our Vision does not stop at helping families find salvation; it reaches to give families the tools and opportunity to create a joyful and fulfilling life here on earth. We always strive to invest in people with love. Everyone is welcome and loved at Real Life Church. Some people have had bad experiences with church, and we want to show you that church can be different. Part of our vision at Real Life Church is to invite people to an exciting, life-giving environment where people want to be and God can show up. Involving is the last part of our vision. Giving people the opportunity to not just attend church but be the church allows people to realize the fullfilling life of following Christ. 

     We are a growing church! At Real Life Church, we strive to always grow in community. As the church grows larger, it is essential that we also get smaller. We never want a single person to feel lost in the crowds which means that growing smaller through life groups is crucial! Church is not just a service on Sunday; church is the people we do life with all week. Every week as we continue to grow, more and more people are given a chance to bring Christ into their lives. Real Life Church is headed in the direction of revival by sparking the love of Christ in the river region.
